How to join SECEC

All practitioners interested in shoulder and elbow pathologies and who are willing to make a contribution to the association’s purpose are welcome to apply.
Please note that you will need to be sponsored by two members in order to join (make sure that your sponsors are informed about your application).

Prepare your documents before starting your online application:

  • Profile picture
  • Short CV incl publications
  • Names and email addresses of your two sponsors
  • Copy of your diploma/ qualification (Junior members only)
  • ID (Junior members only)

Please note that the Membership Committee reserves the right to refuse an application if it is considered that it does not meet the requirements (listed below).

Online application

To join the association, you need to select your membership type below and click on "apply".
Once you have received your credentials, please proceed to pay your annual fee in order to confirm your SECEC membership. Once everything has been approved (including sponsors' validation), you will receive a notification by email.

Annual fee

Online payment via Visa/ Mastercard/ Amex or Paypal

Please note that your membership will automatically be lost if the annual fee is not paid for 2 consecutive years.

Full Member (275 EUR)

Benefits

  • reduced registration fee and exclusive networking opportunities at the SECEC congress
  • online access to the JSES family of journals (JSES, JSES International, Seminars in Arthroplasty, JSES: Reviews, Reports, and Techniques)
  • unlimited access to scientific content (webinars, live surgeries, debates with experts)
  • possibility to present in an ICL at the SECEC Congress
  • can apply for a fellowship
  • eligible for committee membership and chairmanship
  • full voting rights at the General Assembly
  • listed in the SECEC directory

Coming soon:

  • access to a range of exclusive live surgeries (online and onsite) at selected SECEC Education Centres

Requirements

  • qualified professional in either orthopaedic surgery, sports medicine, rheumatology, biology, epidemiology, physiotherapy, osteopathy, engineering or any other field related to shoulder and elbow care
  • reside in a European or affiliated country (full list defined in article 3 of the constitution)
  • provide the name and contact details of two SECEC members as sponsors
  • provide a copy of your diploma
  • provide a short CV
  • pay your annual fee

Junior Member (FREE)

Benefits

  • reduced registration fee and exclusive networking opportunities at the SECEC congress
  • online access to the JSES family of journals (JSES, JSES International, Seminars in Arthroplasty, JSES: Reviews, Reports, and Techniques)
  • unlimited access to scientific content (webinars, live surgeries, debates with experts)
  • can apply for the Online Shoulder and Elbow School sessions
  • can apply for a fellowship
  • eligible for Junior committee membership and chairmanship
  • listed in the SECEC directory

Requirements

  • in training or qualified in either orthopaedic surgery, sports medicine, rheumatology, biology, epidemiology, physiotherapy, osteopathy, engineering or any other field related to shoulder and elbow care
  • under the age of 32 at the time of application (ID required)
  • reside in a European or affiliated country (full list defined in article 3 of the constitution)
  • provide the name and contact details of two SECEC members as sponsors
  • provide a copy of your university registration/diploma
  • provide a short CV

Corresponding Member (150 EUR)

Requirements
